Many people in the United States of America do not vote. But why would someone give up that right to have a say in the Government? Our ancestors have certainly sacrificed a lot in order maintain a government that is owned by the people. So, why would anyone simply disregard this right to have a choice in our government?

In many nations people risk their lives to go and vote, as we saw with the purple fingers of the Iraqis to have a say in their government. Things seem to be much different in the United States and when you ask some one if they vote or not, often you get quite an interesting response.

Why should I vote? So, I can be called to jury duty and threatened if I am on a business trip out of the country to get my ass back or face; no show arrest? Or should I vote to cancel out some other moron who voted based on last nights TV show? It makes no sense to vote any more. No one should vote; your vote is worthless. It means nothing and it is obvious they do not care about the folks that put them in office. It is all a sham.

If you do not vote then how can you complain about who gets into office or about your lack of financial freedom. How can you complain about anything that happens to you in the next four years?
